Detroit, MI

At 58 years old, Marvin Green is a soulful vocalist and acoustic guitarist, bringing a rich blend of blues, folk, and rock to Wolf Jackson. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Marvin’s sound is rooted in the city’s deep musical history, blending the heartfelt storytelling of blues, the smoothness of Motown, and the raw emotion of rock.

Growing up in Detroit’s thriving music scene, Marvin was influenced by the soulful voices of Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, the poetic songwriting of Bob Dylan, and the stripped-down acoustic styles of Richie Havens and James Taylor. While his smooth yet gritty vocals take center stage, his acoustic guitar playing serves as the perfect rhythmic foundation, adding warmth and depth to Wolf Jackson’s sound.

Marvin joined the band in its early days, contributing to their debut album, "Vagabonds & Beggars," where his soulful voice and understated acoustic guitar work added a layer of intimacy to the band’s rugged sound. By the time "No Name Needed" was released, his role had expanded, with his deep, expressive vocals and steady acoustic strumming shaping some of the album’s most folk-infused, emotionally charged moments.

Now, with the release of "3 Chord Dance," Marvin continues to be a cornerstone of Wolf Jackson, delivering soul-stirring vocals and steady, heartfelt acoustic accompaniment. Whether he’s singing a stripped-down ballad, harmonizing with frontman Cliff Raymond, or setting the groove with his rhythmic strumming, Marvin Green is the soul of Wolf Jackson—grounded in history, but always pushing forward.
