Carbondale, IL

At 31 years old, Will Cordell stepped into Wolf Jackson at a crucial moment, bringing his tight grooves and rock-solid bass playing to the band during the recording of "3 Chord Dance." Hailing from Carbondale, Illinois, Will is a versatile, road-tested bassist who has made a name for himself in rock, blues, and country circuits, known for his pocket-perfect rhythm and effortless adaptability.

Will was brought in as a temporary replacement for longtime bassist Theo Palmer, who was on tour with another commitment during part of the "3 Chord Dance" recording process. Despite the fill-in role, his deep, resonant bass lines and natural chemistry with the band made an immediate impact, ensuring that the album’s rhythm section remained as tight and powerful as ever.

A seasoned session player and touring musician, Will’s influences range from classic groove masters like Donald "Duck" Dunn and John Paul Jones to modern rock bassists like Tim Commerford, giving him a well-rounded, adaptable style. His ability to lock in with drummer Angelo Reyes and maintain the band’s signature low-end drive helped keep Wolf Jackson’s sound strong and cohesive throughout the album’s production.

Though his time with Wolf Jackson may have been temporary, Will Cordell’s contribution to "3 Chord Dance" is undeniable, proving that sometimes the right player at the right moment can leave a lasting mark on a band’s legacy.
