Pour Decision
It’s five o’clock again right here,
Time to pour another beer.
Maybe a shot, it could be two,
Yeah, you know what I’m gonna do.
Jukebox playing my old tune,
Bartender says, "It's closing soon."
One more round, maybe a few,
Guess I’ll leave when I get through.
I know tomorrow, I’ll feel the pain,
Swearin’ off whiskey once again.
But tonight I’m in the zone,
Ain’t no way I’m goin’ home.
Last round, the final call
Barkeep says, "Goodnight, y'all"
Chug it down, don’t spill a drop
End of the line, but I won’t stop
It’s a clear prediction
Backed by bad traditions
I’m in prime condition
To make a pour decision
Pocket’s light, but I don’t care,
Put it all on a round to share.
Slurred-up speech, a blurry view,
Ain’t got a clue, the bucks I blew.
Lights come on, the crowd thins out,
Bartender shakes his head in doubt.
I tell myself, “Just one last sip,”
But that’s a lie straight from my lips.
I know tomorrow, I’ll feel the pain,
Swearin’ off whiskey once again.
But tonight I’m in the zone,
Ain’t no way I’m goin’ home.
Last round, the final call
Barkeep says, "Goodnight, y'all"
Chug it down, don’t spill a drop
End of the line, but I won’t stop
It’s a clear prediction
Backed by bad traditions
I’m in prime condition
To make a pour decision
Swore last time would be the last,
But here I am, raising my glass.
Same old cycle, same old lie,
Guess I’ll quit, just not tonight.
Last round, the final call
Barkeep says, "Goodnight, y'all"
Chug it down, don’t spill a drop
End of the line, but I won’t stop
It’s a clear prediction
Backed by bad traditions
I’m in prime condition
To make a pour decision
Keys are lost, my phone is dead,
Guess I’ll stumble home instead.
Might regret it when I wake,
But for now, pour me that drink.
I'm in prime condition,
To make a pour decision.
